San Carlos, San Rafael and San Luis form one of Antioquia's waterfall-richest corners: over 60 falls, natural pools and mountain trails. San Carlos offers canyoning, tubing and birdwatching (the area records more than 370 bird species), plus a hike up to Piedra del Tabor, Antioquia's largest rock. San Rafael adds swimming holes like El Arenal, Guatapé and Bizcocho, with crystal-clear water surrounded by forest. About three hours from Medellín, it's a multi-day, laid-back adventure.

Stops

1. San Carlos

   Starting point of the route. Over 60 waterfalls and natural pools, canyoning, tubing and Piedra del Tabor, the largest rock in Antioquia.

2. San Rafael

   Crystal-clear swimming holes like El Arenal, Guatape and Bizcocho, surrounded by forest.

3. San Luis

   Final stop of the route in eastern Antioquia. Detailed description pending.
